Control is only required for those that break the law, i.e. abnormal size rallys (other than the genuine registered charity events) and nighthawks. So why does it relate to metal detecting and not other activities such as fishing on private land. ? It looks like the PAS are responsible for instigating our predicament. Lets hope we can reciprocate the gesture at a later stage.

WHAT ???. You can detect on public land but not private land. Where did that come from ? Just checked the date, definitely not April 1st.
