Interesting story, but it looks like a collapsed shed to me. If they have found a 100 pound anchor, that size would anchor a very small sailing boat. But you have to admire the yanks Anything over 200 years old is ancient history in America so this would equate to being an American, Sutton Hoo. :g58...

Your reasoning is probably right judging by where it was found.
I didn't take a pic of the back because there is nothing left to see even if there was once a manufacturers mark or anything. sorry.

You would think that anything donated to the town or people of that town, could not then be sold in this way. But councils seem to be able to change laws to suit themselves. We have had large area's of land in our area which were left in wills to the town and for the sole use of people in the town, ...
