Re: Stonehenge may have been built using lard

The weight of the stones that is mentioned is way out , the weight of the stones are about 25 Ton,s not 2 as mentioned . I do not think they will ever know just how the stones were moved from Wales. It is hardly manageable using today,s technology. The theory is about has near as the UFO alien one. ...

Re: chariot burial in Pocklington, 2 people assaulted

Re: More treasure-hunters could be forced to hand over

I have just been reading comments of the issue on line . And instead everyone fretting about the monetary value of what they may find I would suggest they concentrate on other suggestions in the document. The one that concerns me is is the part that suggest introducing a permit for all Archeaologica...

Re: More treasure-hunters could be forced to hand over

What about the thousands of items that have been handed in. Most of the major finds over the years have been found by detectorists. Thousands of finds recorded add nothing to what is already known about the history has to where they were found I would suggest just keeping the f.L.Os in employment. T...

Re: ‘Nighthawk’ metal detectorists in police sights

Quite right . but not in the same league as the scum who battered an 80 year old woman to death for the contents of her handbag. With things as there are in this country, stabbings out of control, thieving with violence, drug gangs on the rampage and a murder of some kind nearly every other day. I t...
