Here's the reverse - apart from being a London maker it's not much help.

Here's another one from Leicestershire. The centaur or Sagittarius seems to be quite common on crests but usually has a bow & arrow, not a spear, so hopefully someone can pin this down for me (cos I'm b***ered if I can....... )

At least it looks as though their finds are getting recorded - which is a damn sight better than quite a few UK metal detecting clubs.

That sounds spot on - Merevale Hall is within 5 miles of the findspot, and I think if you go back far enough the land was formerly owned by Merevale Abbey.
