The one bible on the subject is "English Coins 1180-1551" by Lord Stewartby. Published by Spink in 2009...............if you have £65.00 to spare. It is a stunningly detailed account of the coinage though........mine is very well-read and invaluable................ :g58: Got a new one off...

Mike, have a look in the historic atlas of Kent in WHSmiths(a large green A4 size book priced at £30. Theres lots of info in there. When I need info rather than spend that sort of cash I go down and read up
