Yes it’s common to win a prize some time ago you could win a tector but they wised up
Others do it to get some attention because they don’t find much cos they have low attention span to keep going with no finds

A lot of good items were found in abandoned spoil heaps as we didn’t have pin pointers like the pulse dive back then ,,I left behind a very nice Georgian coin in a spoil heap and found by somebody else..ggrrrr When the tide was coming in you didn’t have time to check spoil heaps before getting cut o...
