oops I just bought a 16gb card too, didnt think only 30 mins of hd video would be sufficient :)

8gb sdhc card - check (requires minimum class 4 so had to buy a new one )
tripod - check
batteries - have lidl nimh2500's which run an explorer for 6-8 hours so hopefully these will do, will invest in more.

Now I just need me in the same part of the country as the damn camera lol ;)

The wife has been tasked with a visit to Argos as they tell me they have the camera in stock for collection tomorrow(finally as I've been sending her mad lol). I reserved it as soon as I got the mail, they seem to have 1 at each store locally. I won't get to play until I get back home though on Thur...

Thanks guys, further vast amounts of reading and the fact that a Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD can be had for 150 quid, well thats the plan. :) cheers!
