Just watched the report on our local TV News, there was a large lump of iron left beside one of the holes, looks probably like night hawkers to me.

I wonder if i will be allowed to detect on the beach there, as far as i know it is Crown Estate foreshore and i have a Crown Estate permit, i only live about half an hour away from the place.

Theyv'e been doing this in Northumberland too. SUSPICIOUS vehicles were searched during scrap metal police operations across East Lancashire.
