What really annoys me is that the idiots that 'saw' him did nothing about it? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he's damaging the football pitches does it, doh!!!!

Easier said than done Mike. He may have suffered a bit of spade rage and lashed out. I would think twice about challenging an obvious law breaker who is equipped with a lethal weapon. A swift call on the mobile to the local Bill wouldn't have gone amiss, no need to challenge anyone. Most local pitches and parks are signposted with phone numbers of some description
