me and sots used to detect a fair bit up there with a few locals when sots was a resident of that locale....we must have missed that one....DOH. love how the cloth is still attached to the pot

This same guy found the largest hoard of Medieval coins ever found in Scotland too apparently! :g50: What a find!!! :shock: - I wonder if the pot will be restored? :g43:

Who said graveyard? Seems the Church in Scotland have a more welcoming approach than the C of E !!

Just my suspicious mind JC :g58: Church land :g43: and
When the discovery was made in early September, he was in the company of two ministers who are also detectorists; Rev Dr David Bartholomew, a Church of Scotland minister of a rural Galloway charge, and Mike Smith, the pastor of an Elim Pentecostal Church in Galloway.
