Post by lee greagsbey »

"Two thirds of all Roman emperors died violently during their first year of rule - but those who survived seven years generally held on to their thrones for another five, study shows"

Me either Pete... :g45: or a iron age tribal chieftain for that matter as i recall i watched a programme about the bogmen, they reckon they were chiefs or high status sacrifices going by the smoothness of there hands in the unique preservation within the bogs. The overkill they suffered just one of the actions would of killed them never mind the 4 or 5 actions they suffered, done in autumn roundabout October as they were all ritually fed sloes! And ergot i seem to remember it was probably there only benefit as they wouldn't of had a clue what was going on. Due to the presence of ergot they reckon it was a failed harvest is why they were sacrificed being in charge they were held accountable... :g43:
