Possible bad news for older detectorists in the future?

Post by History Hunter »

This could be bad news for detectorists in the future if this becomes law.
"Drivers over 70 could face curfews or bans on long-distance trips in licence shake-up"

My car club posted this yesterday, it would only apply if you have a declarable disability, if you pass the Drs test then you should be OK.
Just because you are not paranoid, it does not mean that they are not out to get you

Troy Shadow X3, Shadow X5, XP ORX and now the DEUS 1

After witnessing the standard of driving by 'some' of our more mature population, they shouldn't be allowed to drive full stop - for their own safety.

It a hard one this as you can see and understand both sides.... to use my mum as a example I don't think she should be allow to drive anymore but she is free to do so...

On a separate note I work with a Brazilian who is still driving on his Brazilian licence after 3 years! After a year he said he should take a British driving test for a licence but there's nothing in place to stop this! Same for his wife, 2 sisters and multiple friends one even rolled his car and the police didn't pick up on the fact he's been on a Brazilian licence for years! So it kinda grinds with me the powers that be pick on the easy targets and the ones that take the mick out the system get away with everything!
