If you want to read about the discovery of the hoard in more detai, plus the coins and other items in the silver-gilt vessel, then get hold of the March, April, May and June issues of The Searcher. I saw the hoard within a few hours of its discovery and wrote it up for a number of articles in The Searcher.

Does anyone know which farm? On the theory that others in the Viking band also hid some treasure in the same area.

Just love the pics with all the coins etc insitu with the bowl i dont think the finders got alot of sleep that night well done to the pair of them..... and it just goes to show....never write a field off just because on your first few visits ure getting a pocket full of buttons

all the newspaper articles seem to suggest its on display at the BM and people have been going there to see it.
ITS NOT ON DISPLAY AND UNLIKELY TO BE FOR MONTHS AT LEAST.
