A rare painting of Queen Elizabeth the 1st as a young girl has been found.

Nice story and one to follow to see if the original ever turns up.

She certainly was better looking as a child than the portraits on her coins!!! :lol:

Interesting also as a group showing the end of the line for the Tudors - Edward died young, without issue, Mary had no children and has gone down in history as "Bloody" Mary because of the amount of vodka and tomato juice she drank and Elizabeth was the "Virgin queen" so after five Tudor monarchs the line died out and we got the union of the Crowns.

Will Somers eh well thats a something else that I did not know about.

Not a very happy looking man for a court jester perhaps that suited what always seemed to be a very sombre tudor family family.
