An unexploded World War II bomb has been safely removed from a park in Liverpool, said police.
It was discovered at the bottom of the lake in Sefton Park, Aigburth, after it was drained. Police said the bomb could have been there for up to 70 years.
Merseyside Police were alerted by a couple who noticed the device when they were out walking on Sunday evening.
The park was cordoned off until the Army's bomb disposal engineers safely disposed of the bomb.

Found one myself a few years ago while walking the dog on the beach. It was in a rock pool jammed under a boulder.Had to show where it was to the bomb disposal who identified it as a 6lb british bomb from ww2.It didn`t half go up with a BANG!!!
