Often the case Dave, I hope a Museum buys it so he and others will get to see it again.

Re: The £2000 Penny
It is a nicely balanced article, my thanks to the press officer who wrote the piece allowing me to proof read it.
It is indeed unfortunate I could not really afford to buy the land owners share and therefore it is going to sale by auction in June.
It has been recorded with UKDFD, The PAS and The Fitwilliam so it is well documented ! Naturally the sale is tinged with sadness , ideally it would have stayed in my collection. I live in hope of another wonderful find and who knows what is on the next spade?
Clive.

Truly a find of a life time Clive really pleased to know you are a UKDN member : , I hope for all a Museum buys it, thanks for giving it the provenance
If you would like say a few words in the UKDN Newsletter about the finding of it, it would make a great story, never otherwise to be told and it would be really appreciated, just PM me

Don't forget to tell the farmer to let his neighbors know .... and that you are available to find one on their land
