This map can show the steepness of hills.

Click on Course Creator at top of page.

Click to put pins in the start and finish of you route.

Click on Show Elevation Data.

Click on gradient.

You can also create a route map.

Any ordnance survey map shows the location of hills, the closer together the contour lines are, the steeper the hill.

I struggled to get up Sutton Bank in the camper, that hairpin made me slow down and I ended up in bottom gear. If I had stopped I would not have been able to set off.

I couldn't have gone backwards either as it's not possible to see if there is a car close by at the back because the rear window is high so a blind spot.

It's 25% and I wouldn't attempt it again. Caravans are barred.
