Google Maps - Street View

Post by PhilD »

Street view is now available on Google Maps.

Type in a location (your house), zoom in and drag the little yellow fellow into the street, takes a few seconds to load.

Certainly is. Just type in a postcode or address.
Very handy if you need to go somwhere you are unfamiliar with.
Although not all of the country is covered yet, not in detail anyway.

Property has a former 13th cent water mill in its grounds (burnt down in the later 1700's) dave said I should write and ask for permission but only if he'll be paying the petrol costs as its 3hrs from here :g42:

Have you spotted that it's got a 3d view as well  time to break out the red/green glasses.
Just because you are not paranoid, it does not mean that they are not out to get you

There's another thread about this already, several forum members have actually spotted themselves in various streets.

It's clever how they've got car number plates and peoples faces to come out fuzzy.

i noticed that the number plates on classic cars are not blanked out as they are pressed aluminium with a black background.
