Fine tuning your GPS

Post by PhilD »

To fine tune your GPS, download the Almanac (error correction data) from the Egnos satellites to improve GPS accuracy;

On the sky view screen showing the satellites when you turn on the GPS, click ok and change from normal sky view to advanced sky view.

Leave in this mode for at least 20 minutes, the Egnos satellites number 33 and 37 (on mine) on the bottom right of the screen need to down load the 'almanac', this will show as 'D's' appear on the screen, you may need to rotate the GPS a bit to acquire numbers 33 and 37.
