if it's like my handheld , you just hold the enter key for 2 seconds and it logs the position as a waypoint.

Thanks guys,
yep ive got that, so i have to keep the enter button pressed for two seconds, then i am given a waypoint, got it, so if i am in the field and i find something, then i waypoint it, and go to the other end of the field and find another item, and then waypoint it again with gps, i take it will give me to totally different set's of waypoint numbers....
And can i add the waypoint number to the gps, and relocate the area again, if the waypoint was not saved...
thanks again

When marking your first waypoint, you can normally change it from a number to whatever you want to call it. Like Roman Grot or Eddy Penny etc.
Once marked it will show up as a flag on the screen and the description, if you are within the area.
If you want to find you previous find spot, It just a matter of walking to the area and watching the flag get closer until you are on top of it with the pointer on the screen.

With mine it places a dot on the screen & logs a waypoint (say 001) if you wish to return to it, i press GO TO, 001, this takes me directly to the spot, or TRACKBACK, this retraces the route you have taken to the waypoint from your present position.
Very handy if you lost something on the way, you are retracing your steps.

another quick suggestion you might want to consider... go to garmins site and check if your GPS can use ximage... it's a screen capture program and works with quite a few of their GPS units..
