Hi all
Just to let you know we have a dig this weekend on the Cambs/Northants border.
We have acquired around 85 acres of arable land to search the field is rotting stubble, so a lot softer than when freshly harvested.
The field is a good Roman area and has produced some great coins and artefacts including a lovely Roman phallic pendant, Roman Key, Roman votive horse head, Roman ring, several brooches, there were well over 100 bronzes and 4 silvers, 3 denarii and a siliquae, we also had a full Stater and a Celtic Silver unit.
The field has been ploughed 3 times since we last visited so should have had a good stir up.
