Well Folks

What a weekend we had last weekend a huge amount of finds came up and if you log onto the web site www.centralsearchers.co.uk and click Club Digs you will be able to find out about this weekends dig and see some of the stunning finds that came up.

This weekend we are returning to the same farm with camping available this time, we will have the same amount of land as last weekend plus TWO NEW UNDETECTED fields plus we are also including the axe field that we visited earlier in the year, this has all been deep ploughed and is now rolled flat. The finds on this site span right back to the Bronze Age, we have had 3 axes from this site now on 2 visits, one was polished stone and 2 were bronze axes, these were joined by a Bronze Age spear head, and a superb Stater, Saxon strap end, silver annular ring brooch, we have had a Roman statue in two parts, lots of coinage spanning right through, and again all in super condition.

I was looking at going to this, too far to travel so I gave it a miss. I tried to register to the CC forum, I got an email back saying my account had been deleted. I thought that was a little strange, anyway did anything nice come up?
