So far iv'e managed to contact my local council over the availability of any land in my area, iv'e got the crown estate permit printed off, iv'e Joined NCMD and am awaiting my card, iv'e made copies of the NCMD landowner agreement permission forms along with copies of the codes of conduct incase i should be lucky enough to gain access to some land.

All i need now is a metal detector :hahaha: Only a week before i order it and i got all the Accessories i need now so i'm nearly set to go. :g13:

I'm just wondering if you guys bother with a contract agreement with any landowners ? is it that necessary. Also what happens with most of the finds can you just take them away for research and to report to pas etc.. or can the land owner keep what he want's and give you all the stuff he doesn't want? I'm trying to read up on it but theirs lot's of conflicting stuff on the subject.

cheers.

No conflict.

All finds are the landowners property unless:

1. Its Treasure.

2. There is a written agreement in place saying otherwise.

You are asking for permission to search.....its not "finders keepers".

Showing the landowner is probably the most important, yet neglected, part of detecting.

Perhaps I am mistaken, but, I thought you found gold at Spaxton several years ago, which is where we met.

Must be wrong, it's an age thing you know :hahaha: :bus:
