my 1st detector
hi everyone i have just got my first permission ,and am now looking to buy a detector, i have done some research and have narrowed it down to 4 detectors, in no particular order . minelab safari pro - x-terra ,garrett at pro, c-scope 6mxi .i briefly was able to try the garrett, but not seen any of the others in the flesh as it were, so would welcome any comments on these thanks

Do you have a dealer near by, if so, pop in and ask to play. Where in the world are you?

at those prices also look at a tekentics T2, easy to be getting going with. but enough to keep you interested.

Sounds as though you really are new to the hobby, in which case Puffin is right. Get yourself off to a dealer
who will let you try a few.
You could be thinking outside your comfort zone for a first detector.

I used to have an issue regarding having an inferiority complex, I no longer have an issue with being inferior.
