Could someone point me to where I can read instructions as to how to upload photographs to the site please ?
Hopefully it will be in 'Janet & John' terms. :g46:
I have found my first silver coin today. :g50: A William IV dated 1835. Only 16mm with Britannia on the reverse but too worn/corroded on the reverse to see the value.

Check the date on your coin Wigeon as George 1V only produced groats in 1836 and 1837 :g43:

Thanks Pete. I think you mean William IV ?
I had read some on-line sites and looked at the images too. I became aware of the dates but look at it whichever way, I cannot make it a 6 or 7. Having said that the 8 has lost a bit and could easily be mistaken for a 9. Perhaps its 1837 and the erosion has made it look like a 5 ? I am as pleased as punch with my first silver coin though and a welcome distraction from all the musket balls, knackered copper, buttons etc.
Still have those enigmatic buttons to upload for ID though. Just need to get my head around the process.
