Re: Word Magazine - Issue 64 - December 2012
Well done to all involved in producing a fascinating read!
I particularly liked the 'Identification of Find' article, as the button was found by a clubmate.
The Roman History in Fiction article was also very interesting..........I may well get the set of books for next summer's holiday reading.
I have read the first 4 of Collen McCullochs books and for anyone with little knowledge of Roman history from it's very beginnings, these books are incredibly detailed, provide lots of factual and fictional information and make a great read.
But they are not short stories!! I read fairly quickly and these took a while to finish.
Would definitely recommend this series of books though....your knowledge of Rome, it's empire, it's leaders, it's politics will be enhanced enormously.
Well done again to all who have produced this newsletter, much appreciated
