For those who don`t care about this.
From a UK Farming Forum that I read now and then...........
ACT NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.
Dear all
I wonder if anyone can help me? As some of you know, I am a marketing consultant working in the waste management industry. I am starting a project for a large recycling/composting company that will potentially have 45,000 tonnes of high quality (PAS100/110 accredited) bulk compost available to agriculture in south Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and north Berkshire from 2015/16. I have been asked to find out if there is the potential demand for this material.
I would very much like to talk to a few farmers and crop walkers/advisers from South Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and north Berkshire for 5 to 10 minutes on the telephone. If you live in the area and are prepared to talk to me, please PM with a telephone number and the best time(s) for me to call you. Alternatively, if more convenient, I can e-mail my telephone number for you to call me.
I stress that this is not a sales call!
Many thanks
Rolstone
I`m going to get his number/e-mail address

it looks like hes just testing the market to see where he can dump this stuff, i dont think they will ever get all of the crap out of this compost shite no mater how many times they screen it, this stuff just gets fragmentised smaler and smaler til you cant see it, but it will always be ther,

Another 12000 tonnes on South Staffs
South Staffordshire council is set to save more than £400,000 following the award of a seven year green waste treatment contract to organics recycling firm TEG Environmental.
The contract, worth between £1.5 and £2 million, starts on June 1 2012 and will see TEG treat almost 12,000 tonnes of green waste from the council at its subsidiary Simpro’s open windrow composting site in Coven.
The green waste is collected on an alternate weekly schedule, at the same time as the dry recyclables
The council is set to save £400,000 over the life of the contract, which has the option to extend for a further seven years, by consolidating its green waste treatment. Prior to the contract the council sent its green waste to three sites in the area – Tipton, Huntington and Coven. Now the majority of the council’s waste will be sent to Coven, with a small amount still taken to Tipton.
Simpro had been working with the council on an ‘ad hoc’ basis, accepting approximately 2,000 tonnes of green waste from South Staffordshire. The formal contract extends this relationship to cover the majority of the council’s green waste.

I think they should be jumping on board too, and lobbying parliament. I'm not against green waste but I think they should be taking samples and huge fines should be issued.the barnacle wrote:if i were a detector dealer i would be very worried. - i feel like just packing it all in. - i have just put a post on the above forum.

considering the impact this is going to have on our hobby and on the environment i cant understand why more people are getting involved, only so much the few can do.Steve Rice wrote:I think they should be jumping on board too, and lobbying parliament. The key problem is that the sampling for accreditation (set up by the composters) is too small for the volume of product.
