Bump.... 286 signed so far..

"An added bonus. Under 18's can sign e-petitions too, So please don't forget the kids - oh Wives husbands and partners as well....

There is no bar to under-18s signing e-petitions. The only stipulation as to who can sign an e-petition, other than the citizenship/residency requirements is that we do ask that individuals who sign e-petitions use their own e-mail address when doing so.

Yours sincerely

Ben Sneddon
Assistant Private Secretary (Parliamentary Reform) to the Leader of the House of Commons"

Please bear this mind when signing the e-petition....

Just signed the 'new' petition and was a bit taken aback....345 signatures?
If this issue is not literally rammed down the throats of the members of all MD clubs
then, as with many other worthy petitions, it will be swept under the carpet and will not see the
light of day in Parliament.

It did have a brief mention in Parliament thanks to some sterling work by StuE of this parish & his local MP. Well presented argument that led to some tinkering with the figures of permitted "non-degradable" content.

It seems the only other way to take direct action is to report contaminated green waste to the Environment Agency.

To temper that I have also found that showing the farmers what is in the CGW also has a very stark impact as the majority do care about our countryside & what is ending up on their fields.

The NCMD still have a sub committee working on CGW but they rely on their members reporting, photographing etc which many seem loathe to do......back to apathy again!
