Hi Dave,

Thanks again for the ID above, for the benefit of all, the landowner confirmed he still knows that Coxwell-Rogers are local to the area and will be contacting them to tell them of this small but exciting button find.

Here are a few more buttons dug out of various finds boxes, which I hope you'll be able to ID, all found N Glos (the one with the lady skipping I'm sure I've posted previously but can't find it so apologies for asking again).

This is a Baron ROUS livery button.

The crest is described as...
A pyramid of bay-leaves in the form of a cone vert.

The crest and motto are on this Earl of Stradbroke (of the ROUS family) livery button...

This is a DEVENPORT family livery button.
The crest is described as "a man's head in profile, couped at the shoulders Ppr., with a rope round the neck Or." (Click Here), and is on this Edward Davenport bookplate....

This is a WOOD family livery button.
Wood families had lots of similar crests, as can be seen here... Click Here
The crest on the button is probably the same as the one shown here...

Thanks yet again, and as I suspected at least one I've previously posted so apologies for my rubbish admin.

Tonight I will look at the names in more detail to work out if any still have local connections - and label them up!!

First one is for the Earl of Portsmouth (Wallop family) Click Here although the mirror and comb are in the wrong hands in that image.
