The first one is for the Dalrymple family as they used the motto 'Firm' Click Here to see another example from my livery button site :g50:

Having a sort out and I've come across these found within the Guildford parish of Surrey.
Any help would be most appreciated... :g50:

This is probably a CROWLEY family livery button.

The crest on this button appears to be a arm in armour embowed and holding a battle-axe.

It was a crest used by these families... Click Here
The list shows an Arthur Joseph MUNBY at "6 Fig Tree Court, Temple, and Pyrford, Surrey."
(Pyrford is apparently about 7 miles from Guildford.)

I reckon your spot on with Arthur Joseph MUNBY, the funny thing is that I used to live and work in the neighbouring village to Pyrford... :g50:

This small one turned up yesterday in N Norfolk.
E Armfield & Sons, London. ?? Armfield is a Birmingham firm ??

The crest appears to be "a Lion passant regardant" without anything "for difference", and was used by these families... Click Here

LESTRANGE is shown as being in "Norfolk, Suffolk, and Middlesex."
