And thanks ossie - one of these was found by Awing near St Austell and yours has added more letters! Do you know anything about the company??

Thanks Stue,Belbens are well known in Dorset as a light haulage and coal fruit and veg merchants so presumably they also delivered fertilizer etc.
Interesting that Awing found one in Cornwall,i`m seeing him in the morning, i shall have a look.

Sorry Stue,Don`t know company name,all i know is the Belbens in Dorset were known for light haulage etc.

Awing confirmed his one is the same,well spotted,perhaps when i offer the seal to the belben family history group they might be able to pad out the information.

Found at North Cave East Yorkshire 17mm blank one side a triangle with a line through on the other

Found this large interesting Seal on sunday....Reads POPERINGHE (picture of hop plant),then number 1883.(reverse has a rampant lion.)measures 28mm in diameter....not quite sure,if it may originate from south flanders,theres a website called........"hops through the ages",which gives one or two interesting mentions.
