Hello StuE, dug this seal on Sunday in Warwickshire near Coventry, it's just over 2cms dia :g50:

Hi Stu. Saw your call-out for tubular bag seals and wondered if this may be one? It is hollow and flattened with parallel lines across both 'sides'. Could it be a seal or a crimp maybe?..... :g43:

Thanks Tom - that's just the sort of thing I want people to look out for but in this case I think you are right with your thought about it being a crimp.

I found five bagseals on my last outing to North Cave, East Yorkshire. On 10.08.2016. If any are of interest please use them.

the first is a fragment of a cloth seal - well worth showing but I'm afraid it has beaten me
the second is one of those name-tag type searchers' seals, like this one - http://www.bagseals.org/gallery/main.ph ... emId=11952
the last is a Russian bag seal with Cyrillic script on - http://www.bagseals.org/gallery/main.ph ... g2_page=81
