Strange this morning I only had bag seals I had found in East Yorkshire where I do the majority of my detecting, I went out for an hour this evening with the detector and my dog and found two more both identical in my own village in South Yorkshire :g37:

Sorry for delay folks been away for a week in soggy Ireland - Lismore.

Thanks Daveuk - I think the one with lions on could be an alnage seal. Am I right with the find area?

Thanks for all those Donnydave. DocDave sent me photos all of Terry Brittens Russian bale seals which I will eventually get around to IDing and uploading. The dimensions for any of your seals would be appreciated - you can leave them under 'add comment' for the relevant seal. Is it ok to take your image of the seal on UKDFD - I will give full credit to Rod for his ID as usual?

I have one seal which I would like to add, however, at present my camera is up the Swannie, and I cannot therefore post any images.

No problem John - whenever you can. And while I'm on - Rallies - don't forget to save all those bag seals for me - if I'm there I'll be pleased to take them home, scan them and return them if you wish to keep them (I know some view them as hedge fodder !!!)

Doesn't look to be a standard Russian bale seal and I can't see any Cyrillic letters. Could I have a photo of the blank reverse and the dimensions please.

Hi Stu here are a couple more.
The first is 19mm x 17mm x4mm & the second is 21mm x 17mm x 4mm, sorry I can`t get any better close up`s but my camera goes out of focus any closer. Anyone know of a reasonable priced camera that does take good close up`s???
