Pottery Sherd.

Post by JBM »

This sherd is course and very light in weight

It is a sandwhiched grey with dirty cream colour on side and dirty sienna/light salman on the other.

To me its roman but could it be earlier ? Thanks Jerry.

Not earlier I don't think Jerry. It is too thin and not coarse enough to my eyes. It may be later with the lost inclusions on the outer surfaces.............late Saxon/Saxo-Norman maybe........................ :g43:

Thanks Tom,

If its saxon that will please the farmer as his fields are devoid of saxon finds. Jerry. :g50:
