Hammered Coin revealed today .

Post by Mal Asterley »

Hey I never even got the detector out of the bag because it arrived in the post !!! .

Is it really almost 15 months since I was ill and you shower if wonderful people here on UKDN sent me your good wishes, cards and gifts ??? , I couldnt really get my head around it properly at the time but when I could I felt very humbled and elated at the same time that people that I only really knew by name could show such feeling and concern to what was another member of a Forum and I still Bless you all for that it couldnt happen anywhere else !!!!

As well as other items that I recieved was a little piece of clay from one of those distant places down past the Midlands and was off "Tom" and we all know who that is !! , Peeking out of the clay was a little piece of a hammered coin and a note saying "just a tempter to get you well again and swinging that detector" , unbelievable !!!! , I said I would put it by my PC to look at every day and not crack the Clay to reveal what it was until I was really back on the up !!!

Well that was yesterday and I called in the Demolition man Graham (Sico) and heres the result .

Not My best photos but first to ID can have a piece of clay ha ha

Magic again Tom and I will cherish it

That coin is even better than the photo's. Seeing Mals face when it was delivered and opened by Mal is something that will stay with me for good. What Tom did was a great act of generosity. It will be great to get you back out detecting Mal even if you need a few brew breaks! :g50:

I remember this from last year on the seekers forum :g41:
I said to Graham what a generous act it was of Tom :g50:
Don't want to get all "Ace Rimmer-ish" but I actually said "What a guy!"

Hello Harry my friend ! you were totally right and everyone else on this magic little forum had the same feelings in their heart !! I am in danger of making all this sound a little over sentimental but what else covers it !! .

I heard from Ed last night and my place with the club is still waiting and I will be there soon so be careful what you say cos I will seek you out :g50: ,
