The GMP seemed a sharper signal, but in air tests don,t prove much, its when they are tested in real conditions that matter, but saying that I am not knocking either detector, but its whats in your finds pouch that is what matters, the E-Trac did,nt seem keen on the gold. I have just done an in air test with my detector and a gold chain was only picked up at 2inch in discrim, 6 inch in all metal, a half soveriegn was picked up at 11 inch all metal 10inch in discrim
but set up outside after ground balancing I would think it shouldbe slightly better?

It´s just very quiet on all forums at the moment, thought we might get some people back on them. Seems like with all the financial doom and gloom, everybody is burying their heads.

Both very good machines in their own right, main thing is, people have rediscovered the thing they enjoy in their life, "DETECTING".
I think maybe I´ll begin another with "Landrover or Quad ???", or maybe "Caravan or cheap DIY Market trailer". Or how about "Butane Cookers versus Collman Petrol Cookers " ??? :hahaha:

Merry Christmas thoughts, and a Happy New Year full of finds wished to everyone. :g9: :g5:
