Great video, but I recently saw this info on another forum that you may want to keep in mind when flying.
The latest top end version of the DJI Phantom 2 series multi-copter comes with onboard firmware which prohibits the aircraft from taking off and flying in close vicinity to airports and restricts the height of the multi-copter within certain distance criteria of the airport. This is actually quite easy to do since these multi-copters have onboard GPS facilities. I have to say I like the forward thinking by the manufacturers to incorporate such firmware but being realistic it is after all in their best interests that irresponsible owners of such craft are unable to fly their craft near airports for obvious reasons.
What Peter says about the latest software is true (and waypoints are going to be added soon) but there are much more severe rules in the UK about where you can fly than those imposed by the on board software. For example you must have permission from the CAA to fly
(a) over or within 150 metres of any congested area;
(b) over or within 150 metres of an organised open-air assembly of more than 1,000 persons;
(c) within 50 metres of any vessel, vehicle or structure which is not under the control of the person in charge of the aircraft; or
(d) except when taking off and landing, within 50 metres of any person.

Maplins are selling a new quadcopter..
http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/dji-phantom-f ... ign=15P3-2
It's only £369.99 but when the batteries are low or it's out of range it will return to the place it took off from.
Don't forget to check out the law too... Click Here
