positive news

Post by the barnacle »

I have had a call today from the environment agency and the chap that called is taking this seriouse, he has called the local composters in staffs and wants the waste to be checked, he has a list of farms they deliver to - all autumn waste may also be checked this autumn.

he also wants to visit a site or a field contaminated in the Staffs area.

after a good chat i have said we will put together a pack that he can pass on to the national agency reguarding the contamination. i guess in a file form,

this could contain pics, Ste's blog etc?

if anyone can help in putting this pack together or has any thoughts about the best format it would be much appreciated as i want to get this right.

I think this is where you ought to put a map together, I would happily tell you, or Ste Rice, the fields that I have seen it on as I know you two would keep the knowledge to yourselves and send it to appropriate depts and not publish it on here or anywhere else. Altho what use it is to a detectorist I really don't know!!

I will happily check thru any pack you put together or help you with it if I can.

No I can't either...but the fields I am talking about are part of a large estate and they are not all affected by it!

Wondered if anyone had, saw the mileage that you had done and then Barney's and knowing it was CS thought someone might have been passing by...............you should have called in for a cuppa!! Rutland is only 17 miles x 18 so if you are in it, you ain't far away!

PDF format, that way you've got the chance to distribute it on the net. Easy to send to all MPs.
