Just watched a film on Netflix called "Outlaw King".
Robert the Bruce's struggle to be King of Scotland and be separate from England. The film also portraits Edward the 1st's obsessive hatred of anything Scots.
The film is brilliant. The special effects are superb (but extremely gory).
I watched the film as though I was looking at it through a time machine and tried to imagine how things actually were in the 1307 ish time period, and what real battle and hand to hand combat was like in those times........
I highly recommend you watch this film. The battle scene at the end is amazing.
If you watch it I'd be interested in your opinion.
Cheers, Euan.

Just watching it now oddly and paused it to have a little break. Really enjoying it so far.

The Scots are vastly outnumbered, but watch what battle tactics the Scots use to beat a superior English army. Amazing........

Nothing like Braveheart. which was a work of fiction. this is historically accurate.
