A centuries-old gold ring unearthed by an amateur metal detectorist has been sold at auction for £10,000.

Paul Wood, 64, a driving instructor from Poole, Dorset, uncovered the treasure while exploring land earmarked for housing near Witney, Oxfordshire..................

Good for him, it's a beautiful ring.
I used to have an issue regarding having an inferiority complex, I no longer have an issue with being inferior.

Maybe if they said we were professional, people would think we got paid to do it? To be honest the media say a lot of things that are bonkers, mainly to sensationalise a story :g58:
