There was a herd of bullocks in a field I had to get through to reach my detecting field, this was only last week and it as a right of way footpath through it,they became interested in me as soon as I passed through the gated stye, I could not get across quickly enough, thankfully it was only about 30 feet between access gates. I noticed later on in the morning a group of youngsters heading towards the cattle, thankfully they got through safely :g58: But always a woory :g58:

At certain times cattle can become extremely aggressive. Their sheer size and the fact that they can outrun you is something to remember if you are crossing or, god forbid detecting fields where they are present.
Professionally aimless wandering.

In law, if there is a public right of was across a piece of land it must be adequately made safe, to prevent contact with any livestock thereon. Normally it would be a path around the edge of a field, which is then fenced.

There are always risks with cows/bulls, wherein, the animals know their owners, and both have a mutual trust, which is not as safe as it sounds, we humans are alien to most creatures, sometimes including ourselves. SO if the farmer tells you they are O.K. ignore the remark, and take the long rout if you have to. That applies to all of us.
I used to have an issue regarding having an inferiority complex, I no longer have an issue with being inferior.
