Rare Saxon

Post by muddy »

Hey tinner is this a mate of yours?
Andy Hall of Wiltshire, Coombe Bisset, finds rare Saxon coin of Ludica. He only ruled for one year 826-827 AD. He was King of Mercia.
I would give a link if I knew how. Anyway I expect Lee will report it soon.

There have been at least three others found. The earliest was found in 1998 and I was nearby when my friend Mike found one early last year. So this king has been known about for some time
